School

( Начало учебного года)

School bells are ringing, loud and clear;
Vacation’s over, school is here.
We hunt our pencils and our books,
And say goodbye to fields and brooks,
To carefree days of sunny hours,
To birds and butterflies and flowers.

But we are glad school has begun.
For work is always mixed with fun.
When autumn comes and the weather is cool,
Nothing can take the place of school.

Lining Up

Every time I get in line,
I stand so straight and tall;
I keep my arms down by my side,
I do not move at all.
My head is facing forward,
My eyes look straight ahead;
My lips are closed, my eyes are open,
Listening to what is said.

School is something,
we must all embrace.
Knowledge we need,
to seek out and chase.

Subjects and teaching styles,
are plentiful and vary.
Just like the backpacks,
we all need to carry.

Sports, clubs, and activities,
at every single turn.
So much to do,
study and learn.

To get the most from school,
we should consistently attend.
Around each corner,
there’s always a friend.

Our favorite teachers,
are friendly and kind.
Their passion and job,
to expand every mind.

School is something,
we must all embrace.
Just remember to learn,
at your own pace.

Your teachers will help,
you learn so much.
About the French,
British, and Dutch.

You’ll also learn about,
Einstein’s theory of relativity.
Trying science experiments,
will be an educational activity.

Remember to raise your hand,
when you have a question.

First Day

This will be your very first,
day of school.
It will be fun.

With new friends,

about a yellow giraffe.

During recess you will,
get to play outside.
What’s that game,
where you have to hide?

I know you’ll enjoy,
your first day of school.
You’re a good kid,
that’s smart and cool.

I’m finally going to school

(Первый раз в первый класс)

I’m finally going to school this year,
and now the big day’s almost here.
I’ll learn to write and count and read,
Only two more days till school.

I got new pants and shirts and socks,
a brand-new red and blue lunch box;
I’ll paint and sing and dance and play,
Only one more day fill school.

My hair is washed, my sneakers squeak,
I’m so excited, I can hardly speak!
New things to do, new friends to meet,
Hooray! It’s the first day of school!
