If so или If yes — как правильно?

В 90% нейтивы говорят if so…

Today is the Orthodox Easter. I have heard that this holyday is coincided with the Catholic Easter. If so, I wish you a nice Easter.

Are you going to visit Moscow? If so, let me know, I’ll show you the major highlight around.
Does she know the Chineese language? If so, she could write a business letter in Chineese.
Do you go to the party tonight? If so, pick up me.

We might move to a new place near future. If so, then I can’t write you very often.
Is that a rule? If so, then..

Сами нейтивы объсняют употребление ‘if so’ and ‘if yes’ :

«В большинстве европейских языках вы можете буквально спросить: «если да/если нет — «if yes/if no».
В большинстве случаев, использование «if yes и if no» — будет выглядеть не естественно.

Если вы не пишете руководство или анкету, лучше употреблять «if so» и «if not».»(с)

In many European languages, you would literally ask “If yes, do you …?” and “If no, what’s the …?” instead.
However, this is not the common way to form such follow-up questions in English. In most contexts, “If yes, …” and “If no, …” would be considered unnatural by most native speakers.

There are a few specialized cases in which “If yes” and “If no” may appear, such as in a manual:
Check: Did the indicator LED blink twice?
If YES, press the RESET button.
If NO, remove the disk and repeat the action.

or in a questionnaire:
Are you currently unemployed? ? Yes, ? No
If Yes, since when? __/__/____

In such cases, the words “yes” and “no” would typically be capitalized, set in bold, or otherwise distinguished from the rest of the text. Unless you are writing a manual or a questionnaire, “If so” and “If not” are the safer option.

Are you legally blind? If so, fill out form XYZ-B and attach it.
OK Are you legally blind? If yes, fill out form XYZ-B and attach it.

«If yes» only appears after yes/no questions, and refers to the answer of that question.
As an aside, you could use «if so» in these situations quite comfortably instead.
